
Jonathan Gill

Now in his ninth season at LIU Post, Coach Gill is the Passing Game Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach. He has coached three ALL ECAC selections, two ECAC Players of the Year, two ECAC Rookies of the Year, and six ALL NE-10/ PSAC Selections. Additionally, two of his former players were chosen to All Region teams, as well as Honorable Mention All- Americans and Harlon Hill Award Finaslits. He has presented at Nike Coaching Clinics as well as the Nassau County Coaches Clinic. Prior to his tenure at LIU Post, Coach Gill was a three year letterman as a quarterback at the University of Akron.

Rob Blount
Since 2009, Coach Blount has been the head coach at Oceanside HS. He has established legendary roots in Long Island as a player in his Prep and Collegiate career. In 2005, Blount won several major awards, including the NE-10 Conference MVP, ECAC D2 Regional Player of Year, and Honorable Mention All-American- Newsday-Male College Athlete of Year, as well as being a Harlon Hill Regional Finalist (D2 Heisman Trophy). Coach Blount’s career totals at LIU Post were 8,047 total yards and 69 total TDs. Coach Blount has coached one New York State Player of the Year and seven All State / All Long Island QB's. Additionally, he has mentored seven quarterbacks to win the top QB award in either Nassau or Suffolk County. Coach Blount was named Nassau County Coach of the Year in 2010.

Steve Probst
Coach Probst is a Don Snyder Award recipient, given to Nassau County's top quarterback. He led Farmingdale to the Conference I Championship and the Rutgers Cup. Collegiately, Probst played two seasons at Hofstra University. As a freshman, he led the Pride with seven TD passes. As a sophomore, he passed for 466 yards and five touchdowns, and ran for 300 yards and two scores. In 2010, Probst transferred to the University of Rhode Island, where he was the only CAA quarterback to pass for more than 1,800 yards and rush for more than 600 yards. He ranked third in the conference in total offense (225.1), and led the Rams in passing and rushing. Currently, Coach Probst coaches at Stony Brook University.

Greg Lauri
Coach Lauri has 26 years of experience coaching at both the high school and college level. Currently in his third season as the Quarterbacks Coach/Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator at Nassau Community College. He has coached two All-Northeast Conference quarterbacks in his short tenure at Nassau. Prior to joining the staff at Nassau, Coach Lauri was the Offensive Coordinator at John Glenn High School where they won back to back Long Island Championships, with two different All-New York State quarterbacks. Coach Lauri also served as the Special Teams Coordinator at Hofstra University for 10 years, where he coached over 10 future NFL players. Coach Lauri has spoken at the New York State High School Football Coaches Convention and the Nassau County Coaches Clinic.

James Gibbons
Currently the Recruiting Coordinator / Special Teams Coordinator and LB Coach at LIU Post. He has coached at the college level for 17 seasons, coaching QBs from 1999-2004. Coach Gibbons has also coached over twenty players who have received All Conference or All American Honors.

Pete Melore
During his 16 years as a varsity coach, 12 of his QBs have received All County Honors. In 2007, Coach Melore was named Nassau County Assistant Coach of the Year. As a head coach at Smithtown HS, almost all offensive records have been broken. In 2013, under Coach Melore, QB John Daniggelis had more yards from scrimmage (2,277) than any other QB in Long island. Coach Melore has spoken at various clinics throughout his coaching career and has coached at various ALL Star games.
Steve Laurino

Coach Laurino just completed his career as a four year starting QB.. He holds the career marks for passing yards (9,673), completions (853) and passing touchdowns (86) in LIU Post history. Furthermore, Laurino compiled an all-time total of 11,191 yards of total offense and a 110 tolal touchdowns in his career. This past season he was named an All American as well as a Harlon Hill Finalist.

Erik Anderwkavich
While at LIU Post, Coach Anderwakavich was named East Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year and received All Conference Honors. During the 2010 season, he was the only player in the nation to have over 600 yards in one game in any level of college football. Coach Anderwkavich’s career stats at LIU Post are 6,171 total yards and 59 Total TDS. After graduating, Coach Anderwkavich received a contract to play football in Italy. He is currently the running backs coach at LIU POST.

Grayson Laurino
One of the most versatile players in LIU Post football history. During his career, Coach Laurino starred at WR and punter, receiving honors from the ECAC, as well being named an All-Conference at both positions. He also played QB during his college career. Coach Lauino played quarterback in high school and was named MVP during the state ALL STAR GAME. After his senior year, Coach Laurino was selected to be a WR in the Freedom Bowl (D1AA/D2 All Star Game). He currently coaches WRs at LIU Post.
